Bedale Town Council is looking to appoint a Cleaner with responsibility for the toilets in the Bridge Street car park. The job is for 10.5 hours per week (1.5 per day) and is year-round. This year's car boot sales run every Saturday (as long as the weather is OK) from 16 March - 19 October. The draw for beneficiary organisation dates was held at January's Town Council meetings and details are on the council's Facebook page. There will also be Saturday morning concerts on the bandstand on the first Saturday of the month from May - September!

Bedale has been chosen as one of the eight host venues for the 2019 cycling Tour de Yorkshire, which runs from 2-5 May. The announcement that Bedale will host the finish of stage two of the Men's race and Stage one of the Women's race on Friday 3rd May 2019 means that this will be one of the biggest days in the town's history. On the 17th of April 2018, a delegation of 6 from Bedale Twinning Association went to Azay-sur-Cher, in the Loire region of France near to Tours. They were met with the utmost hospitality and friendship whilst being hosted by members of Azay-sur Cher Twinning Association.
