Bedale has been voted Best Dressed Host Town in the 2019 Tour de Yorkshire. Congratulations to everyone in the town for welcoming the Tour so wholeheartedly and with such colour. Since the granting of a Market Charter by King Henry III in 1251, there has been a market in Bedale’s cobbled market place every Tuesday.
