Bedale Town Council has two vacancies for Councillors, to serve until the 2027 Council elections.
The role of a Councillor is wide-ranging, from discussing planning
applications and organising town events like the Fireworks and Christmas weekend, to lobbying higher authorities on local issues.
As a Councillor, you will help to keep Bedale a great place to live and work. We are hoping to co-opt two Councillors at the meeting of 13th July.

We have been approached by a resident wanting the parking spaces on Market Place / North End widened. This is not a Town Council decision, but we can ask North Yorkshire Council to do this if it is perceived to be in the interests of the town.
The argument in favour is that there would be more space to enter/exit vehicles and (hopefully) less dings and dents.
The argument against is that we would lose around a dozen parking spaces.
