Bedale now twinned with Azay-sur-Cher

On the 17th of April 2018, a delegation of 6 from Bedale Twinning Association went to Azay-sur-Cher, in the Loire region of France near to Tours.

They were met with the utmost hospitality and friendship whilst being hosted by members of Azay-sur Cher Twinning Association. They were shown around the area, meeting with local schools and sports associations who were given contacts with all our local schools and sports clubs.

On the evening of Wednesday 18th April the Mayor of Bedale, Cllr Christine Mollard and the Mayor of Azay-sur Cher, Janick Alary signed a formal Declaration of Friendship between the two towns. This in effect means that the towns of Bedale and Azay-sur-Cher are now twinned.

The Bedale Twinning Association are now actively seeking help and support so that we may host our French friends towards the end of this year and show them the wonderful area we live in.
